Immersion is the name of a software product that can literally visualize your life using email. The program has been developed at the MIT Media Lab and works for Gmail only at this point. It allows to/from metadata to be quantified and analyzed. For a skillful analyst much can be gleaned about the quality and intensity of relationships. In some ways it resembles the methods used by the N.S.A. with respect to phone traffic. Watch an interactive demo.
