Headlines: Data Industry
Citing thousands of missing documents pertaining to the proposed merger of Time Warner Communications and Comcast, the FCC has stopped the 180 day clock on Day 104 of its deliberations. Specifically, the missing documents were witheld on the basis of client-attorney privilege, a claim that has been disallowed as inappropriate. The FCC has indicated that the evaluation process will re-start on January 12, 2015. Hopefully, some resolution can be reached as soon as possible so the direct marketing industry can evaluate and respond to the new cable landscape. Read the letter from William T. Lake, Chief of the FCC Media Bureau to the petitioners.
