Last month it was reported that Google was close to sealing a deal for Twitch, the streaming video game site for a price of $1 billion. Not so fast as gamers might say. Amazon has successfully outmaneuvered Google for the same prize. While the exact fit into Amazon's portfolio is less lear than Google's plans were, this leaves no doubt that Jeff Bezos intends to challenge Google for supremacy on the e-sports playing fields.
