Starting in July, Canada will be enforcing a new set of regulations called CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation). It will go beyond the scope of the 2003 CAN-SPAM law to cover any form of electronic communication, not just email. Gone will be the various forms of "implied consent" that open the way for marketers to include reciients on their mailing lists, with few exceptions.
