For direct marketers who may believe that placing a real stamp on a piece earns extra credibility, choose wisely. An ad from the U.S. Postal Service depicted a stamp that did not include the word "Christmas" when promoting its holiday lineup. The Twitterverse erupted with protests from people who felt slighted by the omission. There are USPS holiday stamps that do include the word Christmas, but the ad only showed one with a gingerbread house. This caused the USPS to receive a poor grade on the 2013 American Family Association Naughty or Nice list.
