The Federal Trade Commission announced that it would be holding a workshop on the subject of cross-device tracking. It will be held at the FTC's Constitution Center offices on Nov. 16, 2015. The sessions is currently exploring questions and seeking comments on the subject of user tracking technologoes and practices in the multi-channel marketing universe. Included of course is the direct mail marketing industry. As user behavior can be tracked in greater detail across the entire device journey, the FTC wants to get out front of questions of privacy and security.
