On the occasion of International Women's Day 2016 it is important to recognize where gender equality attitudes stand. In a Pew Research Center Survey the world nets out at 65% in favor of gender equality. In the U.S., Canada, Germany, Australia, and the U.K. that figure tops out at over 90%. The survey asked respondents to rank gender equality among a total of six attributes associated with a democratic society. Gender equality came in second, behind only religious freedom. Global business leaders know it is right, with many pledging support.
